Google’s Matt Cutts talks about Black Hat & Link Spammers erasing updates

  • Advertorials: earlier this year Google went after website which were using advertorials to pull up their rankings and enhance their link building. Matt Cutts said that Google will take serious actions about it soon for violation webmaster guidelines.
  • Filtering out Spams: Google believe that internet has become excessive with filthy and spammy websites such as pornographic. Matt Cutts said that Google is receiving complaints from outside resources and we will soon look into it as well and on serious note to make internet accessibility more safe and secure.
  • Google wants to go upstream: Matt Cutts said that we are looking forward to move a bit more detailed and deeper “upstream” to build good analysis on link buildings.
  • Better link analysis: Matt Cutts also said that Google is heading its way in a better link analysis in terms of building software for link analysis which will in turn give a much more sophisticated and uncomplicated link building analysis of websites.
  • Tracking the hackers: Google is more inclined this year in tracking the hackers as well and keeping internet services more secure and safe. And also working on hacked sites for improving their performances and getting rid of virus. Cutts also added they plan on improving webmaster communication in regards to hacked sites.
  • Authority boost: websites who are related to some dignified authorities will most likely get more boosts and will be able to reach over the un-authoritative sites on SERPs.
  • Shifting Panda update: Previous panda update had quite tremendous effect on a lot of website rankings and affected their business drastically. Google has been a bit more concerned about them and making changes in their algorithm so it can bring back some of the sites to its track.
  • Same Domains in SERPs: Google has also been looking into same domains for one website on SERPs on the first pages and Google is working to lessen this year so others can have opportunity to be on the first pages as well.
Google is also working in improving webmaster communications and in the end he said that the purpose of all these updates is to make internet more secure and decrease the use of Black hat SEO techniques.
